Malaysians don't seem to want coal-fired power plants. In fact, they don't seem to want any power plant fueled by fossil fuels. Neither do they want nuclear power plants. Hydro-electricity has its limitations. Bakun necessitated huge tracts of land to be inundated with water.
So, how?
Is the average Malaysian willing to cut down on electricity consumption? Are they willing to stop using air-conditioning? Are there any architects left who are competent in designing homes with cross-ventilation and air scoops, obviating the need for air-conditioning?
