Ducati's Monster 600 is the best-selling motorcycle in Italy, where it's considered an icon of contemporary design. Is this the sexiest beginner bike on the planet? At the very least it's the most exotic looking. Despite its name, the Monster is as welcoming to new riders as any 600 cc standard or sportbike on the market. Like all 600 cc motorcycles, though, it's for those who have mastered the basic maneuvers of motorcycling. If that's you, the Ducati's V-twin engine delivers power in an extremely friendly, usable manner, and the striking lattice frame offers excellent handling.
